s2 ep.1 Sex, Shame & Reclaiming Pleasure with Emma-Louise Boynton

Writer and broadcaster Emma-Louise Boynton joins Owning Space for an open conversation about sex, shame, desire and pleasure, and the messages women absorb about their bodies and sexuality.

We explore the shame and silence that can surround sex, the expectations placed on women around desirability, ageing and pleasure, and the process of questioning what we have been taught we should want. Emma-Louise also speaks openly about body image, eating disorders and her own experience of feeling at war with her body, and how our relationship with ourselves behind closed doors can affect how we show up in the rest of our lives.

Emma-Louise explores many of these themes in her book Pleasure: The Reclamation of My Body.
