EP.5 EDS, Hypermobility, the Gut & ADHD with Alex Orfanides
Alex (Founder, Hypermobility HQ) has lived with hypermobility and understands first-hand the complexity, confusion and frustration that can come with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and connective tissue disorders. As both a clinician and patient, she brings a unique perspective on what it means to live in a body that looks capable on the outside but often feels unpredictable, painful and misunderstood underneath.
In our conversation, we explore the realities of living with EDS and hypermobility, the link between connective tissue, gut health and autoimmune conditions, and why so many women with chronic pain - including those with endometriosis - fall through the cracks of traditional medicine. We also talk about Alex’s upcoming book Help! I’m Hypermobile, her mission to make invisible illness visible, and why she believes “incurable” does not mean “untreatable.”
If you’re curious to learn more about hypermobility, EDS and how these conditions connect across the body and mind, this episode is for you.
